Hello again, here I am, still being Laura Sanders. Below I’ve listed some experiences I have had that might make you think I am impressive or useful to your next project:

• Stand-up comedian since 2007
• Self-employed from 2010 to present. (Have kept myself alive with doodles and talking)
• Writer and performer in monthly live sketch show from 2010-2015
• Video Sketches featured on Funny or Die and Whohaha.com
• Currently in debt for a bachelor’s degree in visual communication design from THE Ohio State University.
• Have been hit in the face with a pie, would recommend
• Producer/performer of 15 & Killin’ It, and 2020 reboot Killin’ It, a stand-up show that requires comedians to write and perform 15 new minutes of material each month
• Illustration and layout for You Got This, and incredible resource by Lelia Gowland for negotiation for women
• Producer and host of Boxed Comedy, a New Orleans stand-up showcase that has raised thousands for local non-profits
• Acted in Murder Mystery Dinner Theater, would not recommend
• As a designer and illustrator, I’ve worked with liquor brands, big glossy magazines, non-profits, software companies, comedy festivals, and many other weird and wonderful clients.
• in 2018, spearheaded and completed 365 illustrations for my own #ButtonButton challenge
• 6x On-site designer, writer, and character for Camp Runamok’s Squirrel Tribune, a fake newspaper at a real summer camp for bartenders
• Wrote, produced, and performed in three multi-media one woman shows, and one two-woman show with collaborator Lisa Berry
• Booked, promoted, and performed on American Mess, Second Shift, I’m So Excited, Your Uncle’s Girlfriend, and the Hometown-Go-Round tours

Notable Rejections:

1. I made it to Last Comic Standing’s top 200, but did not get on the show. They flew me out to LA and everything! Fanciest rejection to date. Even had an orchid on my dang room service breakfast. 2. Once I got rejected from a school in Berlin, and my Mom had to take the letter into work so the German teacher could translate my failure. 3. Just for Laughs Unrepped New Faces. My face was recommended, but not picked. This all happened via email. 4. Comedy Central Half Hour 5. When I was a child, I was part of a Brownies troop that learned a friendship song together and did not teach me the song. I got the message, and left the group shortly after that.
